Speed comes first
We build Firebolt to be the most efficient analytical database. Fast by default, or we haven’t done our job. Sub-second query latency is the bar, and everything is designed around it.
Engineers and agents first
We build for engineers and agents. Postgres SQL. Well documented, simple APIs. Pricing that doesn’t require a finance team to decode. If an engineer can’t understand it in five minutes, something’s wrong.
Simple > complex
One binary. Kubernetes. Object storage. The best system is one you don’t have to think about. We always aim to build the simplest system possible. It makes life easy for our users, and lets us move fast.
Open > proprietary
